Do you like music? Fancy the idea of being able to control music anywhere in the home?
If the answer is yes, then I have some good news for you. There is a new application from Google Apps that will do just that. This Android application has been created by CasaTunes, and is available for both Apple’s iPad and all Android tablets.
With just a touch of a button you can choose a different room or song to play.
Speaking with gamutnews.com, David Krinker, CEO for CasaTunes said “The addition of native Apps for the iPad and Android Tablet expands CasaTunes’ client strategy for support across browsers, iOS and Android platforms.”
He added “Using popular handheld devices, users are free to move about their home changing the music as they go.”
The application can also be used in two modes depending on whether the tablet device is being held in portrait or landscape position. If used in the latter position the play list is indicated together with information about the current track being played.
CasaTunes is a pioneer in what is fast becoming popular – a multi room audio experience. As such, the new application also controls the destination as well as the source of the music. It can be easily altered by using something called popovers.
The application is already available for iPad users, but the Android equivalent will only be available in June. It will support Android 3.0 and higher versions of the platform. So, if you have a Motorola Xoom for instance, then you are in luck.
