Do you have an iPod? Do you use an Android SmartPhone rather than an iPhone?
Would you like to be able to manage your music on one device, namely your phone?
Well, I believe you can now do just that.
Until now you have had to use several Google Apps in order to manage your music on an Android device. However, with technology developing so rapidly nowadays, this is changing fast. What is more, it is now possible to get close to an iTunes management system.
So what is available? DoubleTwist is, I believe, one app that experts think is the nearest you can get so far that mimics iTunes. Available for both the desktop computer and a mobile phone, it allows you to control your playlists, music and other media. What is more, it is free to download to a single PC or MAC computer.
With DoubleTwist I believe you can synchronise playlists, podcasts, photos and videos you have stored on your Android device such as your smartphone; even Google Apps.
If you prefer to use your smartphone the mobile application allows you to listen to music and podcasts or watch video on the go.
Interestingly, both the desktop and mobile apps work separately from each other.
Another app worth mentioning has been around for a while now. In fact, I’ve used it on my desktop for a few years. It’s called Winamp.
Originally a Windows application for a PC, it is now available as an Android app. The software is very similar to DoubleTwist, but it doesn’t support app syncing.
