BabyAge, a company that specialises in selling anything and everything connected with babies and juveniles has improved its business prospects since using Google Apps.
In particular, I believe that the company has risen up the search engine rankings by as much as 64%, and it’s all down to using Google Commerce Search, the dedicated search engine for businesses.
BabyAge started in 1999 just as the internet boom was starting to take hold despite the dot com bubble bursting. The management are avid technology fans believing that they wouldn’t be as successful if it hadn’t been for embracing new technological ideas and running with them.
Speaking with static.googleusercontent.com, Jack Kiefer, President and CEO of BabyAge said:
“BabyAge always chooses the best technology – when applicable – to address business impediments.”
He added that he felt it important that parents were able to get the best information about what products they wanted without having to constantly search the internet. Jack Kiefer added: “An expectant mother wants a ton of information, while a grandparent probably wants to quickly find a gift at a particular price point.
“We have to support a wide range of customer needs, which requires a fast, relevant, and intuitive search interface.”
The company found the move to Google was smooth and trouble free. What’s more, they found that Google Search Commerce was affordable and very useful, and a lot less expensive than other cloud products they looked at. Moreover these other companies offered hosting solutions whereas Google offered true cloud.
As such, choosing Google was obvious.
