Google Apps consultancy expands in Scotland

You may not have heard of Cloudreach, but I think you may do so sooner rather than later.

This particular company offers businesses the chance to make use of Google Apps (and Amazon Web Services, as a matter of fact) more easily.  What’s more, from what I gather, it is the only accredited provider of Google’s products in Scotland.

The use of Google is now moving very fast nowadays simply because it offers benefits that companies such as IBM and Microsoft no longer can.  Yes, of course Microsoft has developed its own suite of office tools – Office 365 – which the firm hoped would knock spots off Google.  However, sadly, this hasn’t happened, and I don’t think it will to be honest.  To start with, Microsoft’s suite is expensive.

Speaking withbdaily.co.uk, Pontus Noren, Director and Co-Founder at Cloudreach said: “Cloud is clearly becoming a realistic option for businesses, as more and more benefit from the lower costs and increased efficiency that comes with moving away from a conventional IT infrastructure.  However, for many businesses it is a move that is viewed with anxiety.”

Despite the recession there are companies in the UK that are growing and I firmly believe that any business that wants to grow in the future needs to think about making use of Google Apps.

Pontus Noren added: “The market has accepted true public cloud platforms as a better, more secure and scalable way of providing IT services to businesses….”

Interestingly, it is also companies that started within the last few years that are reaping the rewards.
