Technology consultants chooses Google

The old saying “It takes one to know one” is possibly an apt description for Google’s latest customer acquisition.

A nine-year-old technology consulting firm recently decided to move over to Google Apps for Business.  This is Indus Valley partners, which specialises in offering other businesses a consultancy business and technology service.

In a relatively short period of time, Indus Valley has grown into a global company employing more than 220 people across several offices around the world – in New York, New Delhi and Mumbai.  This meant that trying to keep control of its own communication systems was becoming something of a struggle.

The company needed to streamline its communication systems across the whole of the business.

Before using Google Apps, sending email attachments, for instance, while fast by comparison with traditional snail mail, was still slow by modern requirements.  Being able to share documentation on the cloud though, (one of the facilities offered by Google’s suite of products) cuts out the constant need to attach anything to an email.

It also quickens up enormously all business transactions.

By using Google Apps for Business, the company felt it had set them free from all the additional pressures associated with outdated IT and computer systems.

Speaking with google.com, Gautam Misra, Indus Valley Partners IT Manager said: “We were desperately looking for a collaborative suite to replace our previous traditional office software.”

Gautam added: “Today, we use Gmail as our enterprise email solution.  It’s very reliable and offers a host of features enabling faster searches, along with easy mobile accessibility.”
