There are many priorities for any business, but which of the above are your main priority?
Looking briefly at each in turn might help decide.
Both cloud and the internet are relatively new technologies, but already they are saving people a lot of time in many different ways. For example, you no longer need to constantly manage IT systems, in-house data centres or computer programs. These are all done for you by a vendor.
Similarly, how often have you had problems trying to install something, only for it to breakdown later on? Not only is this frustrating but it can be costly in many ways.
In contrast, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) is far more stable. Even if there is a problem causing downtime, the problem is likely to be fixed a lot quicker, and at no cost to you.
Environmental issues are now high up on the agenda of many businesses, or should be. As such, isn’t it better to use an outside provider to store valuable material than trying to store it on your own hardware storage systems; not to mention using reams of paper? Energy costs are also saved.
Many companies using web solutions also say their employee productivity has improved massively using cloud computing systems, particularly when using mobile devices.
This links in with a reduction in costs.
